At the beginning of last week Dave found out that he was going to be promoted to the position of District Manager. The official announcement didn't happen until Friday. So, all week long as he worked with the person he replaced, I called him the Assistant to the Regional Manager. Let's hope no one puts his stapler in a Jell-O mold.
But seriously, we are very thankful for the promotion. The timing is perfect. Dave will finish his MBA in April and is looking forward to the new challenges that management will bring. In the past a promotion has meant a move, but in this case we get to stay put and that makes me oh so happy!
